| Conrad has recently returned to Christchurch after having left the salsa scene here in 2008 to explore and gain training from notable Salsa dancer's around New Zealand & Australia. Most recently he completed 6 months of dancing competitively in Sydney where he had the great opportunity to learn from some of the most famous salsa dancer's in Australia. Dancing competitively in Sydney with his ballroom trained dance partner, together for only 5 weeks was able to qualify 2nd in NSW for the Australian Salsa finals. A further 5 weeks later they upset the field to secure the 2010 Australian Amateur Salsa title. Much of his training was mentored under Csaba Szirmai in Sydney who won the 2010 Australian Professional title. Prior to shifting to Sydney Conrad spent close to a year in Auckland receiving instruction from Giancarlo & Masha (Latinissimo) whilst dancing in their Competition and Performance teams and last competed in the 2009 New Zealand Salsa Nationals gaining first place with them. |
| After the hectic life in Sydney of training to midnight most nights and juggling a full time job Conrad decided it was time to shift back to his home town of Christchurch and continue with his dancing projects at Salsa Latina. Conrad is pleased to announce that he will be partnering Lise Aakjaer from Salsa Latina on future team and couple's performances. So keep an eye out for some exciting new couples choreographies they are working on now. |
