The famous Hot Springs Salsa yearly winter fest, with latin dance workshops in the afternoons & Salsa Party at Night.

Salseros from all around the New Zealand Christchurch, Dunedin, Westcoast, Blenheim, Nelson, Wellington, Wanganui, Auckland & further abroad will combine this year and spend an awesome snowy winter weekend in Hanmer to move to the rythms of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and Cha cha cha at the Hanmer Memorial Hall. So bring the kids and enjoy the treasures that Hanmer has to offer. Even though its often snowing it will be hot in the salsa hall and the hot pools... not to be missed!
This is a beautiful alpine village ...enjoy the hotpools..
It's also the first weekend of the school holidays, kids are welcome at the party, infact school kids are free entry.

• Social Salsa Dancing all night from 8pm, come and dance the night away. This is a BYO party, bring your own drinks. Great dance floor, great sound system, be prepared for one of the most fun, relaxed & greatest Salsa nights for 2012. DJ's playing the latest & greatest Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Cha, Samba, Merengue and more...

General Information about Hanmer & this event
When should I go to Hamner? Most people will travel up and spend 2-3 nights in Hamner, leaving Friday after work and staying the Friday & Saturday Night. Accommodation between a group is often very cheap, the average house to hire can work out as little as $20 per person per night. However some will travel up on the Saturday morning to make the workshops, while others will just travel to make the party and leave the same night without staying. We prefer to stay 2 nights so we can relax in the hot pools... you choose!

Theres still heaps of homes left , book early to get the best ones! If you book a few 6-12 in a house you can get the price between $12-$35 per night for a luxury home.
